Welcome to the S.H.A.R.E charity website. On this website you will find more information about us as well as the projects that we are currently undertaking. S.H.A.R.E is proud for the work that it has done in the past and it will keep working hard for the wellbeing and upliftment of the humanity. We hope that you find something of interest on this website and if you have any ideas or would like to get involved in our current projects then please get in touch. S.H.A.R.E itself stands for Sikh History And Religious Education. The charity itself has been running since 1996 unofficially and is comprised of a number of second generation U.K based Sikhs of varied ages with a purpose to enhance and develop community relations. It started in Coventry and has now spread to other town and cities including Derby for example. After much hard work and dedication S.H.A.R.E was established as charity in 2007. S.H.A.R.E has been able to grow fast in a short space of time through its commitment to increase people’s understanding of Sikhism-both Sikhs and none Sikhs. So far we have been involved in a great array of projects in various different fields. The areas we have covered so far are:-education, training, famine relief, numerous religious activities, and sports activities. These projects have all been worth while and fun all at the same time. We have managed to help out people of different ages and different backgrounds in addition to other charities and projects. |
